Individual, couple, family therapy
Marta Porebiak is a clinical psychologist, European Association for Psychotherapy certified psychotherapist, Polish Psycho-oncology Association certified supervisor and psycho-oncologist, providing individual, couple and family therapy in private practice in Warsaw, Zoliborz.
She received her M.A. and Ph.D. degree with honors from University of Warsaw, Faculty of Psychology. To be a prominent psychotherapist she completed PPA (Polish Psychiatric Association) certified 4 – year postgraduate training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in Collegium Medicum, Jagiellonian University in Cracow. She attended international postgraduate trainings in psychotherapy and disease prevention, e.g. held by Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA or International Psycho-Oncology Society in Quebec, Canada with collaboration of Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY, USA.
Dr. Porebiak has been working for the last few years as a lecturer at Warsaw International Studies in Psychology at University of Warsaw. Between 2004 and 2011 she was also a scientific assistant at Cancer Centre in Warsaw.
She is an active member of the Polish Psychological Association, Polish Association for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Polish Psycho-Oncological Association. She’s been a presenter for many national and international congresses. She is an author of many articles in scientific journals and author of handbook chapters for psychologists and medical doctors. She collaborates with Polish Society for Aesthetic Medicine.
Among her areas of expertise are: individual psychodynamic therapy, systemic couple and family counseling, personal development individual counseling, crisis management in psycho-oncology, palliative care and therapy of bereaved.
